Another unsigned band success story. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, a band based in Brooklyn and Philadelphia, has sold almost 17,000 self-titled albums through word-of-mouth marketing alone. The band recorded the entire album for under $10k, and fulfills orders the old fashioned way, via mail and by hand at shows. Wow. Prefix reviews the album here, and I’m including free mp3 download links to a few of their songs below. I haven’t listened to them yet, but thought I’d throw caution to the wind and check them out after posting. Enjoy! “Home On Ice” mp3 “Tidal Wave” mp3 “Lost And Found” mp3 (via Taylor, via Kottke.org) ]]>
