Ringtone Songwriters
Sick of song writing? Try ringtone writing.
Some musicians are trying to get a piece of the exploding ringtone business ($2 billion in annual worldwide revenues for record labels) by producing 20 second stories. The practice is similar to writing commercial jingles…without the video, I suppose. Fortune wrote a nice little story about it here.
I’m curious if there’s a company out there accepting ringtone submissions..? In any case, if you can create something catchy like the Crazy Frog ringtone, you’ll be set for a long, long time.
